Product Review: L'Oreal 24 Hour Lash Boosting Power System

UPDATE:  (7/2015) You can still buy this product through Amazon.

Recently I had the opportunity to do a trial of this new product, L'Oreal 24 Hour Lash Boosting  Power System.   I had already seen the television ads for the prescription product called Latisse, so I was excited to try something that was available over the counter. As a person with very sparse and weak lashes, I would try anything to make them look thicker and fuller.

Review:  The serum was very easy to put on morning and night. When I first started using the serum, it did make my eyelid "tingle" for a couple minutes, but this sensation went away after using it for a week. There was no discoloration on my eyelids as a result of using the serum (which I heard was an effect of the prescription "Latisse") or any other negative effects.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the two-step mascara process. One end of the applicator is the white layer, which goes on first, followed by the mascara on the other side of the applicator.  After several tries, my eyelashes clumped together.  I quit using the first step and just used the mascara alone, which was quite good.

After the four weeks, I can say that my lashes are stronger than usual, and I will continue to use it to see if there is more improvement.

My final recommendation would be a 3 out of 5 stars. If this is something you need -- definitely give it a try. You may have much better, recognizable results than I experienced.
