Perfect Read-a-Loud Books for Elementary & Middle School Homeschooling

We loved reading books from YWAM's "Heroes of History" series for 5th through 7th grade!  I wish we would have had more time to read all of the YWAM series before my Youngest outgrew them. While we read some from the Christian Heroes series, my son loved the history series, with his favorites as Alan Shepard (we were studying astronomy) and Davy Crockett (while studying Texas History). 

A great supplement to American History studies, the books in this series are affordable, and well written; if homeschooling several ages, these books are entirely appropriate for reading aloud. Many titles have an accompanying downloadable Unit Study Curriculum Guide to purchase, which were invaluable to us and save me a lot of time creating content to expand on the book.

In addition to the Heroes of History, YWAM has its popular Christian Heroes series as well as a series available for the younger set, with most of their titles, are accessible by audiobook CDs, plus eBook, Kindle, and Nook formats, perfect for homeschool, or anytime reading.
