Where to Find Free Spanish Lessons & Courses

When homeschooling high school, it is important to get two years of a foreign language, which will also prepare your teen for another two years of language study in college.

Since we live in Texas, my Youngest will be learning Spanish, a language from which he will get a lot of use!  Many employers like to hire employees with Spanish skills in order to communicate with Spanish-speaking customers.

If you are looking to start your younger child with Spanish, or find courses to get them immersed in the language in high school, here are some helpful websites:

123 Teach Me
Free self-study courses for students of all levels.  It also has a kids' learning area.

Duolingo
Free, bite-sized lessons that feel more like a game than a textbook.

Memrise
Learn at home and on the go with their app.

Spanish Programs
Several free lessons, but a whole curriculum is available for purchase.

Other websites with a monthly membership and comprehensive lesson plans:

Fluencia

Mango Languages
Check with your local library to see if they subscribe to Mango and you can download the app and use it free with your library card.

Homeschool Spanish Academy A little more expensive than the others listed; it has support from many trusted homeschool bloggers.
