Book Review: "Secrets for a Sweeter Journey on the Rocky Road of Life"
Would you think about ice cream when you read the title of this book? It may not be a book about ice cream, (although it has a delicious title!) but it does give some sweet insights from Karen Scalf Linamen.
Karen is honest and straightforward but inserts joy and humor as she relates how she has learned "sweet secrets" along with her recent rocky road of life. I loved reading the other uplifting stories she added of those who have overcome obstacles and what they did to embrace a sweeter life.
This is an easy read, and a great one for a women's book club -- she includes thoughtful questions at the end of each chapter for discussion (along with a fun chocolate recipe submitted by readers - how can you not love that?).
My favorite chapter was #6 -- "Eat Chocolate, Write More, Feel Better" where Karen gives some great hints and ideas for journaling that can help you through the rocky and sweeter times of life.
This book can be purchased through Amazon.
