Book Review: "Fight Back with Joy" by Margaret Feinberg

Margaret Feinberg is definitely on my list of favorite bible teachers.  After reading "Wonderstruck," I was eager to learn more from her next book.

As a follower of Margaret's blog, I was already aware of her battle with cancer and now current remission. When this new book was announced, I was quite surprised to find that the subject was joy.
Hmm.  Joy?

With awesome respect for Margaret's bible knowledge and teaching, I already knew that I would read this book regardless of the subject. And I admit, I was curious!

When crisis and tragedy touch the lives of loved ones and friends, it is sometimes difficult to know the best way to respond to their circumstances.

What do I say?  What should I do?  How do I know that they want me to help?

Is it Possible to Find Joy In Life's Greatest Battles?

No matter what your circumstances, you can practice defiant joy!  In Margaret Feinberg's new book, "Fight Back With Joy: Celebrate More. Regret Less. Stare Down Your Greatest Fear." she shares her very personal battle with cancer and reveals how joy is more than whimsy. It’s the weapon you can use to fight life’s battles. She says:

"This journey has been the most painful experience of my life. And, to share about it requires some vulnerability. Okay, a lot of vulnerability. And, that’s really, really hard. But I feel like I’m finally ready to share what God has stirred in my heart along the way because although cancer has been the most painful journeyit has also been the most joyful. And no one is more surprised than I am.
